Come join the official WoWWiki-Norge IRC channel!

As the wiki is not always the best place for an in-depth chat, we've decided to create a channel for you, the wonderful users of the WoWWiki-Norge!

Many of the administrators frequent the channel (all are channel operators), and you are cordially invited to chat, discuss wiki issues, notify us of important developments and just generally make yourself at home and chat about anything Warcraftian!

Once you have an IRC client, join the channel at irc.freenode.net, #wowwiki-norge!

IRC- Internet Relay Chat, is an internet communication system.

The chatroom can be accessed via http://irc.wikia.com/ and other Freenode gateways. Enter your nick, then select #Illogicopedia from the drop down menu (it's somewhere near the bottom) and hit the login button.

Go to http://ircatwork.com/. Enter your nick, then irc.freenode.net into the server box. Finally, type #wowwiki-norge into the last box and hit the login button.

If you use a client such as chatzilla, you can simply join the channel by clicking irc://irc.freenode.net/wowwiki-norge

[rediger] Channel rules

1. Absolutely no discussion of how to exploit, emulated servers and other matters that break the WoW EULA or ToS, unless directly relating to WoWWiki-norge articles. We will not give you links, and you will likely be kicked from the channel.
2. Be civil - harassment and insulting behaviour is not tolerated.
3. Don't spam the channel, and especially do not copy and paste reams of text. If you need to, please use a pasting service such as Pastey.net!
4. An admin's word is final.
5. Try and keep generally on topic ... most of the time ;)
6. Avoid posting lore spoilers.
7. Remember.if u gonna post messages with more then 1 lines please use www.pastey.net ! . Its a thing where u can post messages. and link the url to the irc channel so Ircwarcraftian people can read it . and not be spammed (:

• Most users idle on the channel. There is absolutely no requirement to be chatty or even respond to comments.
• If you have a question, just ask it. If you don't get an answer straight away, you're probably not being ignored - other people are just busy!
• Absolutely anyone is welcome to join - as with the wiki, the IRC channel is a neutral channel. (Admins, of course, still have final say.)

• infobot creates daily logs of the channel history here.
• Newsbot keeps stats of the channel here.

[rediger] Operators and voicing

• All administrators and technical staff of WoWWiki-Norge are encouraged to join and are automatically given channel operator privileges.
• Ops are advised to stay De-oped while on the channel so that a user does not demand to be opped.
